hocus pocus.

How I adore Autumn! The brisk cool air, the red and orange leaves scattered on the ground, the foggy mornings, knitted scarfs and plaid sweaters. Autumn is the best! I love the pumpkins and soups and the beautiful landscape! I love the leggings and boots and mittens. All of it brings so much joy to my heart!
I've taken to walking every day. I go up to the lake, by myself and read "Great Expectations". If I have time, I'll even walk around the entire lake. Walking allows me to have time to think and look around and just ponder things. I love this time in my life right now.

finding my passions.

Okay...it has been a ridiculous amount of time since I was last on here. It was only with the arrival of my wonderful grandmother (I'll post about that later) that inspired me to keep up the work over here! Phew!
What a busy bunch of weeks and months. School has begun and it is very lovely. My classes are interesting in variation and I am continually trying my hardest. The other Lewis kiddies are trying their best as well. We have finally got into the swing of things!

I have been thinking about life and passions. There are so many things that bring me happiness. Being homework free, spending time with friends, getting an A+ on tests, receiving a compliment. These are some things that bring me happiness.
There are so many things that bring me a deep joy. Autumn, boots, sweaters, familiar smells, salads, memories, grapes, crunchy leaves, cold bedrooms, reading classic novels, photography and so much more. My body radiates pure enjoyment when I participate in these joys.
Yesterday I spent some time with one of my dearest friends. I have known him for nine or so years.
I took his senior pictures.
Senior pictures.
Him and I are seniors in high school.

Where has the time gone?
There are times I want it all to stop. I want to freeze moments and let them last forever. A few years ago, an entire year seemed daunting and so very far away. Yet now, an entire year is nothing. I feel like summer just began, yet I am attending school. I feel like I just had my sixteenth birthday, but my eighteenth is drawing nearer. I'll soon be off to college, but I feel as if high school just began.
Time flies by.
I welcome the future with an eager heart and open arms.
I have had time to reflect on my passions. I have had time to find passions.
Photography is definitely a passion.
My body radiates pure enjoyment when I participate in this joy.
So here's to a senior year. Here's to my passions.

Junk Food and Superheros.

I have not been eating junk food lately so this email is not about that....it's about the brand Junk Food!!! I have had an odd fascination with D.C. comics and superheros in general lately. I have read pretty much every comic there is to be read and have been memorizing characters and all of that fun jazz! I'm a comic book nerd! Gasp.
^^^I found this shirt online at Junk Food  and fell in love with it! It is perfect in every way so I purchased it:)
^^^The shirt even came with an adorable little majig thingy that I decided to put on my keychain. I adore it.
^^^Since I love comic books, I got so wrapped up in reading and reading that I realized I hadn't read the New Era in a good amount of time. Because of that, I created a photo that depicts what is good, and best. The New Era is best of course and then my comics. For info about the New Era visit here.

Appreciate Dates. (word on dating).

This morning I went on a hike-date to Devil's Backbone. We didn't walk very far, but we sure did stop and take an extra long rest. We talked in that rest area for hours and just goofed off. When we decided to walk back down the trail, we were attacked by the largest and fuzziest bees I have ever encountered! Luckily no one got stung; we just stuck our heads inside our shirts, screamed, "For Narnia" and ran as fast as we could.
After the walk/hike, we stopped at iHop to grab some breakfast.
I love all three of these people. They are amazing, hilarious, and even more hilarious than the person you think is the most hilarious.

^^^Hailey, Patrick, Avery & me.
I love dating! Tonight I have another group date and we are just going to play volleyball, water balloons fights, games and just have bunches of fun at a park. So fun!
Dates allow girls and boys to get to know each other better and even though I know these delinquents well, I learned even more about them today. You learn much about people when they're attacked by man eating bees. For sure. I love not being dedicated to one person; it allows me to find personality types that I enjoy or despise. It's wonderful.
I cannot begin to imagine all of the terrific and precious relationships I would've missed out on these past few months, if I had been dedicated to one person. I have been blessed to become friends with soooo many people!
The day will come when I'm ready to steady date. Right now, still being in high school, is my time to make new friends and discover myself while doing that. In love with life.

Got to Do the New 'Do and Pups.

I was not planning on posting this because it's toooottaaalllyyy lame, but I'm completely bored, so here it goes.
I got my hair cut! I just told the lady to chop it off and you know what she did? She chopped it off. I'm excited to start fresh and I might even keep it this way? No too sure.
Today, while I sit here watching Somewhere In Time, the rest of my family is off picking up a new puppy! I have to work today, so I can't go with them, but we're getting a black lab and are debating on whether to name it Oaklie, or Hurley. Puppies are puppies, but they sure are fun:) Can't wait to practice some animal photography with this new girl!
Have a lovely day all.
