Camp Esther is a girl's retreat for those 16-18. It's boundaries covered most of Northern Colorado and all together, we had about 23 girls attend. Boy was I so grateful for the opportunity to go, and even more so the opportunity to help plan it.
The goal of the retreat was to make sure all of the girls left with the knowledge that they are a daughter of God. We wanted them to feel their Divine Nature, to be full of Virture, to be courageous. We also stressed developing a firm foundation on our own so that we could be prepared to live independatly in the comming years. Every little detail was aimed at accomplishing those goals.
Since I took oh so many photos, I've decided to split them up into days.
^^^Our adventure took place in Redfeather's. It really is a very beautiful place and if you're into outdoorsie things and visiting Colorado, definitely head out to that region; it's gorgeous.
When we arrived at the cabin, we did what is expected....we unpacked our luggage. Weird, eh?
It was great settling in and then going crazy.
^^^My buds and I found this room that had a sneaky latter that lead up to The Loft. I guess I really shouldn't say we found it; the cabin we stayed in is my Rebekah's parent's cabin. They allowed us to use it for the weekend, so Rebekah ran the town and claimed The Loft. Sleeping in The Loft were Kirstine, Rebekah, Gynasie, Makayla and me. It was tight, but we're tight so it's a win.
In the shots above, Lexi and Paige wanted to come check out our bend and see what the big fuss was about. In the last two shots, Makayla is jumping off the latter, onto the bed below. That's what we did almost every time we needed to be transported down. It was even better with a cape. Fun times.
^^^All of the girls pitching in to load the home with a bundle of food. Except for me of course....I had to take pictures. Valid excuse.
^^^This is the view from the back porch. Can you say HAFUNGA? This place is HAFUNGA worthy.
^^^The cabin was so fancy, it had reflective windows from the outside!
So here I am, just strolling around, whistling and caroling about the house, when I come upon these dolls checking themselves out in the mirror from outside. This is money.
^^^Cool stairs I happened upon.
^^^The gang headed out in the evening to play us some Kick the Can.
^^^The jerky tub was dubbed our honorary can for the wonderful game. After about three solid hours of humor and memories, we decided we should go get some food. We did.
^^^So wish I had approached this photo at a different angle, but you take what you can get. Kirstine is like a fierce dragon, delicate, gorgeous, hot, level two ninja warrior. I adore her.
Sorry to dissapoint, because I know you were having so much fun. That is all of the shots I shot on day one. Day two will be just around the corner.
